I came to realize that success lied at the "center of my
being" and could be accessed through a meditative practice that did not
contradict my preexisting religious and spiritual beliefs. Rather what I
believed, as well as my spirituality, reached a new height and existence. I
present to you a miraculous technique from "Kelly Howell,
who Body Mind Spirit magazine called 'The best voice in guided
meditation.'"
I advocate for a Zen Approach to the life and
career of the solo attorney, and for practically anyone. By this I mean
applying experiential learning and wisdom to attaining a solid core of enlightenment whether
through Zen meditative techniques or through a series of mental exercises that
not only create a consistent flow of positive thinking but also of positive
energy and action.
There is a strong nexus between Howell's guided meditation and those practiced in Zen. I can state with conviction that the methodologies, mental exercises, and guided assistance offered by her are remarkable, if not mystifying. Never before utilizing such assistance have I experienced the positive outflow of consciousness afforded to me, even in practicing "less passive" methods.
Brain Sync Brainwave
Therapy, which is what
Howell has successfully provided to over 3 million users, works for those who
are open to it. By listening to CDs or MP3s for 30 minutes to an hour a day, even
when falling asleep, "brainwave technology blends advanced meditation techniques with
harmonically layered binaural beat frequencies." There is science and
spirituality composed in what is a fascinating harmonic fusion that triggers
profound connections in the brain, where "users have experienced the
powerful benefits of deep meditation to accelerate healing, learning, recovery
and personal growth."
As for my personal
experiences with the techniques and assistance, through The Secret Universal Mind Meditation series (parts I and II), I
have been able to uniquely overcome tremendous obstacles in life with
meaningful and lasting optimism. The thoughts
and visions produced in me
during the meditations, unlike in prayer, have evoked such a rich spectrum of
inner-mind-being and external connectivity to the world around me that one
needs to do the same in order to understand the experience and the results. And
I must admit I was very skeptical when starting out. Yet, in almost anything
learned in life one often needs a guide and teacher. Howell is able to both
effectively guide and teach.
It is very hard
for me as a rationalist, on the one hand, to espouse using Brain Sync. Yet the
spiritualist in me, on the other, makes such a recommendation rather easy to
do. Even as a Christian I sometimes hesitate to adopt something that feels
contradictory. But in all of my studies into my traditional beliefs, I can see
no contradictions because there is a synergy between meditation and prayer,
just like how there are synergies between the scientific world and the world of
faith; that is, only when one is open-minded.
If you have ever
heard the saying that "We are spiritual beings on a human journey, as
opposed to human beings on a spiritual journey," you may or may not have agreed.
However, in our limited understanding within a 3-dimensional world the easiest
position is to just rule out the spirit-component of such beliefs altogether.
Thus you have strict scientific atheism which postulates that unknown things
are merely not existent until proven or demonstrated. Many, many, decades of
the "Scientific Age" have rested on a concept of a Godless Universe:
is this the void of our epoch? The irony is that all intelligent beings desire truth; and the truth lies at the center of each of us and
is relative. Truth is something that science cannot completely validate, but
neither can it invalidate it. And so by design we are "hard-wired" to
discover truth, which in
many ways is by finding our true
selves. Our spirit is
off-limits and beyond the reach of modern day science. No matter who is looking
and observing, our natural limitations invariably mean all vision is myopic, save
for the mind's eye.
The beauty,
though, of powerful and effective meditation is that the spiritual or
scientific individual can appreciate what can be discovered or accomplished
through harmonically influencing the mind-state. Certain sounds and frequencies
are proven to change the brain and can cause positive effects. Brain Sync technology has
tapped into these in an unmistakably real way.
Only if you are
ready to positively change your life and mind forever, ought you to begin the
methods offered by Howell. Should you have a prepared mind I welcome you to
join me and many others who have started the journey.

a brief history
"First discovered by biophysicist Gerald Oster at Mount
Sinai Hospital in New York City, Brainwave Therapy sends pure, precisely tuned
sound waves of different frequencies to your brain via stereo headphones. In
his EEG research, Oster discovered that when different vibrations, or sound
frequencies, are delivered to the brain separately through each ear (as with
stereo headphones), the two hemispheres of the brain function together to
"hear" not the external sound signals, but a third phantom signal.
This signal is called a binaural beat, and it pulses at the exact
mathematical difference between the two actual tones. For example, a signal of
100 Hz delivered to the left ear and a signal of 107 Hz delivered to the right
creates a binaural beat of 7 Hz which in this case falls into the Alpha
range."
about kelly howell
"With almost three million audio programs in print,
Kelly Howell is highly acclaimed for her pioneering work in healing and mind
expansion. She's the creator of Brain Sync audio technology and the world's
leading innovator in the practical application of brain wave research."
brainwaves and meditation
"Until recent years, entering extraordinary states of
heightened receptivity and peak performance has been attained predominantly by
only a disciplined few, practicing ancient techniques such as meditation,
chanting, yoga, and newly revamped versions of the mystical traditions - for
example, progressive relaxation, auto-suggestion, hypnosis, and biofeedback.
These techniques work. But they take long periods of practice, discipline, and
sometimes a leap of faith. It is all too easy to become impatient and give up
long before producing results.
In shamanic traditions, drums have long been used to
transport the shaman out of his or her body into other realms of reality
through the use of constant rhythmic vibrations. Researcher Melinda Maxfield,
studying the Shamanic State of Consciousness, found that the steady rhythmic
beat of the drum struck 4.5 times per second was the key to transporting a
shaman into the deepest part of his shamanic state of consciousness.
With the invention of the EEG (electroencephalograph)
Biofeedback researchers discovered that theta brain waves oscillate at 4.5
beats, or cycles, per second. In direct correlation, we see similar effects
brought on by the constant and rhythmic drone of Tibetan Buddhist chants that
transport the monks and even other listeners into realms of blissful
meditation.
The gentle pulsating rhythms of Brain Sync audio programs
act in a similar fashion, yet because the frequencies are precise and
consistent they can be targeted to induce highly specific and desired brain
states. Just as you can tune a radio to get a particular station, with Brain
Sync technology you can re-tune your consciousness – effectively dialing your
mind into a wide variety of brain states."
